How we work — honestly

SkyForge is at the start of its US ramp, and we’d rather you know exactly what that means. In 2026, work is scheduled by project assignment: full weeks on site during projects — starting with booth-equipment pre-assembly and PACK EXPO International 2026 — with training paid and no guaranteed hours between assignments. As installations begin, assignments become steadier project work through 2027, with the potential to transition into permanent roles.

We are remote-first with no central facility: you’re based where you live and fly to sites. If you want a predictable 9-to-5 in one building, this isn’t it. If you want to be one of the first people in the country trained on a new robotics platform — read on.

Field Installation Technician (Robotics)

{{ m }}

The Field Installation Technician executes the mechanical installation phase of robotic cell deployment — everything from equipment positioning up to first power-on — working under an installation lead. Post-power-on commissioning is handled by controls engineers.

What you’ll do

  • Assemble and install robotic cell structures: frames, columns, crossbeams, guarding, conveyor interfaces
  • Position, align, level, and anchor equipment per layout drawings
  • Work from top-level installation diagrams and mechanical assembly drawings
  • Fabricate and terminate cables — cutting, stripping, crimping — including Ethernet (RJ45) cabling
  • Route and dress cables to panel entry points; support pre-power-on checks with the commissioning team
  • Follow customer plant safety and food-hygiene (GMP) rules
  • Trade-show equipment assembly and teardown — first assignment: pre-assembly in Columbus, OH + PACK EXPO 2026, Chicago

What you need

  • Proficiency with standard installation tools and basic power tools
  • Ability to read installation diagrams and mechanical assembly drawings
  • Cable assembly skills: cutting, stripping, crimping, including Ethernet cables
  • Physical ability to handle heavy structural components — up to 132 lbs with team lifts or lifting equipment; regularly lift 50 lbs
  • Availability for multi-week travel assignments across the US; valid driver’s license
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Russian language skills — product training and manufacturer documentation are currently Russian-heavy (working English required for site safety communication)
  • Experience installing packaging or processing equipment in food or beverage plants
  • OSHA 10/30 card; forklift or scissor-lift certification
  • Electrical or low-voltage certification; exposure to industrial robots

How we pay

  • Hourly W-2 pay (non-exempt), rate depending on experience — the specific rate is discussed at the first interview and stated in every offer
  • Overtime at 1.5× per federal and applicable state law, including California daily-overtime rules
  • Paid travel time; airfare, lodging, and ground transportation covered; meal per diem at GSA rates
  • Statutory coverage provided (workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance); health and retirement benefits are not offered at this stage
How to apply: email your resume (or just a summary of your hands-on experience) to careers@skyforgeautomation.com with the subject “Field Installation Technician”.
